Personnel

The Reverend Douglas B. Barnett was born in Carlsbad, New Mexico on March 27, 1953. He was baptized and confirmed at Immanual Lutheran Church of Carlsbad before his family moved to Albuquerque where he graduated from Sandia High School in 1971.

Pastor Barnett attended Missouri Synod Lutheran colleges, graduating from St. John's College, Winfield, Kansas, (1973) and Concordia Senior College, Fort Wayne, Indiana (1975). He completed a Masters of Divinity at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, Missouri, in 1979 through which he served a year's internship at Immanual Lutheran Church, Bristol, Connecticut.

Pastor Barnett served three Lutheran congregations prior to Grace, Henderson: St. Luke, Sweeny, Texas: St. Philip, Houston, Texas (associate & senior pastor); Faith, Collierville, Tennessee. He enjoys the parish ministry with its emphasis on conducting the liturgy of the Lord's Service, preaching, teaching and member visitation.
